The new concept design also shows off what a new live-action Green Lantern suit could look like.
An incredible new concept design pictures what Armie Hammer could look like as the Hal Jordan Green Lantern in live-action.
With a Green Lantern series in the works for HBO Max, a stunning new design throws Armie Hammer into the role of the cosmic hero, showing his version of Hal Jordan donning the iconic costume. Little is known about the series aside from the news that it’ll feature two of the Corps members on Earth as well as Sinestro. It’s not clear if that duo will be Jordan and John Stewart or newer heroes like Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz.
A new design from a digital artist known as ‘valentinromeroart’ on Instagram sees Armie Hammer don the iconic green mask and costume as part of the Green Lantern Corps. Hammer is often fancast as DC heroes, but it’s hard to deny that he looks perfect for the role of Hal Jordan when seeing the design. Interestingly, his costume seems to take its cues from the John Stewart look, with the green shoulders and chest instead of a full green torso. Take a look at the star as Hal Jordan below.

A Green Lantern Corps movie is currently in development with Geoff Johns on board as a writer and producer. Full details on the movie are being kept under lock and key, though the project will draw inspiration from Geoff Johns’ work on the New 52 comics with both Hal Jordan and John Stewart set to appear in the project.
In addition to the the Green Lantern and Justice League Dark projects, HBO Max is developing a Strange Adventures DC anthology series and a DC Super Hero High show from Elizabeth Banks. News of the Green Lantern series arrived shortly after reports of HBO Max planning to produce DC projects with budgets on par with those of feature films.
